Venchamaram are white flowing tufts used to fan Thidambu, at top of elephants in ceremonial processions especialy in festivals in kerala like Poorams. Original Venchamaram is made from the fine fleece of Chamari, a type of sheep on found in Kashmir.
Traditional Art and Crafts offering two types of Venchamaram wall hanging venchamram and the original traditional Venchamaram which are using in elephants and in temples in Poorams . The differance between these are the wall mounting Venchamram is made with Cotton or Jute fabrics and with wooden plank. The original venchmaram is made in Fleence of Chamari Goat and with Silver Plank .
