Nettipattam, traditionally used during festivals, is now popular as a wall hanging in various sizes. It is believed to bring prosperity and peace, representing the Hindu gods comprehensively. In Vastu Shastra, it is considered auspicious to hang it in the east-west direction of the home to invite prosperity, happiness, and positive energy.
The Nettipattam design includes symbolic representations of Lord Ganapati, Navagraha, Trimoorths, and stars, with specific counts, sizes, and locations. Goddess Lakshmi is depicted on the left, and Goddess Saraswati on the right.
To preserve its shine, the Polymer Nettipattam should be kept away from direct sunlight. The miniature version is made from imitation gold-coated plastic (polymer), beads, woollen thread, fabric, and supported by wooden edges. High-quality polymers and fibre alternatives are used to construct this product.
