Ganesh idols, also spelled as Ganesha or Ganpati idols, are representations of the Hindu deity Lord Ganesha. Lord Ganesha is widely revered as the remover of obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences, and the deva of intellect and wisdom. He is also worshipped as the god of beginnings, hence he is often invoked at the start of rituals and ceremonies. Ganesh idols come in various forms, sizes, and materials. They can be made from clay, plaster of Paris (PoP), metal, wood, stone, or other materials. During festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, which is a prominent festival in many parts of India, elaborate idols of Lord Ganesha are crafted and worshipped with great fervor and devotion.

Muthukuda is a traditional decorative umbrella that reflects the rich cultural heritage. It is used in Royal and temple processions sited upon the back of the elephant. This is used for the Kudamattam ritual in Thrissur pooram. The Kudamattam Ritual is one of the main attractions of the festival and devotees and spectators from all parts of the world throng to the pooram to see the caparisoned elephants and their handlers perform. Different types of umbrellas are changed on the caparisoned elephant. It is available in different colours and sizes.
